We are seeking a results-oriented, customer-focused Supply Chain Engineering Intern to contribute to our continued legacy of innovation. The Carrier internship experience offers an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.
In addition to the direct responsibilities of the internship, the individual will be included in an array of discussions that will provide them with learning experiences. This internship will be responsible for assisting with cost idea generation, scoping projects, project management, cost analysis, and operational execution. The Supply Chain team will help you gain insight into developing and delivering cost improvement projects through the Supply Chain organization. You'll work across borders in a globally coordinated fashion. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, tackling diverse challenges, and delivering solutions that significantly enhance the efficiency of our supply chains
Role Responsibilities:
Support cost reduction ideas generationScoping for cost reduction projectsBusiness case creation for cost reduction projectsExecution of cost reduction projectsOversee special projects supporting supply chain initiatives.Review general data and analysis for category spend with suppliers and provide summary information to the teamReport out on assigned projects at the end of internship, sharing with teammates and leaders, for knowledge sharing and learningRole Purpose:
Provide career development, supply chain and engineering experience, and business acumen to the intern role, developing talent and skill set to grow further within Carrier's organization, targeting OLP preparationIntern provides tactical, administrative and project support to the Design to Value teamBasic Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringGPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA.Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.Preferred Qualifications:
Proactive and results-driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentCapacity to lead, motivate, and influence through effective communicationsPrevious InternshipInterest in supply chain and engineering.Some work experience and community / volunteer activity
