Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:
Rapidly formulate a differential diagnosis from assessments conducted within the clinic setting
Interpretation of tests
Counseling liaison to women's support group programs
Will conduct breast exams, gynecological disease and treatments, including prenatal care; colposcopy; placement of IUD's and general OB/GYN office procedures
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients assigned within the primary care team
Provide guidance to nursing personnel towards treatment plans and care issue
Documents treatment plans in the medical record
Documents collaborative guidance from the physician as needed
Coordination of care for patient

Required Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Nursing or Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies
National Nurse Practitioner Certification in Women’s Health, Adult or Family and/or Certified Midwifery or Physician Assistant certification or ability to obtain prior to employment
Unrestricted, active licensure in the State where this position is based, or ability to obtain prior to employment
Current DEA or ability to obtain
1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an OB/GYN or Women’s Health clinic setting
Ability to perform
colposcopy
or ability to obtain training prior to beginning employment
Intermediate level of technical proficiency in the use of computer programs for medical records or internet search for clinical practice
Preferred Qualifications:
Current NPI and/or PTAN number or ability to obtain
Ability to communicate with patients, primary care team members and management staff
Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
Ability to formulate a differential diagnosis
Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
Nevada Residents Only:
The salary range for this role is $109,513 to $160,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
