What you will do

As part of our team, you will be dedicated to upholding employment law and compliance best practices, as well as nurturing the culture, for your assigned location(s) in an organization that believes food is medicine and is insatiably focused on bringing the very best in food service to our guests.There is meaning in what we do as an organization and in what the Talent team does for our people.The HR Generalist will be the executional partner for our Talent team and operational leaders in recruiting, onboarding, enforcing policies, guiding progressive discipline, coaching on performance feedback, advocating for the wellbeing of our people, and more. Builds deep, trusting relationships with all colleagues and clients to ensure their voice is a valuable part of the employee experience.Provides expert counsel to our people when faced with statutory and non-statutory leave of absence needs.Advocates for client values and policies and strengthens those relationships.Executes best practices on HR/Onboarding processes, including (but not limited to) drug testing, medical testing (e.g., TB), background checks, and new hire orientation.Educates and guides managers on HR processes.Maintains electronic employee files and consistently uploads documents in accordance with best practices.Sets an example for all employees by living our core values authentically and transparently.Supports recruiting efforts for their assigned location(s), including posting and screening upon request.Establishes a community presence to drive applicant flow and talent branding.Participates in new location openings to ensure a smooth transition.Monitors the engagement level of the team members at their assigned location(s).Seeks to actively improve HR processes and practices based on firsthand knowledge.Actively monitors and remains informed on evolving federal, state, and local employment laws and shares that knowledge with the Talent Team and internal stakeholders.Performs other duties as assigned.What you will need

Fluent in Spanish, required.This is a hybrid position but requires up to 25% travel to support locations in Dallas, Houston, Austin, Longview, Tyler, Beaumont, Sugar Land, and Plano.Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.SRHM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification preferred.Minimum of three years' experience in an HR role or comparable experience.Familiar with federal and state employment law.Proficient in administration of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and ADA leaves of absence.Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.Proven history developing deep and trusting relationships with operational leadership while part of a centralized service function.Proven ability to build and develop internal and external relationships; creating partnerships, building trust, sharing ideas, and accomplishing work quickly and efficiently.Proven history maintaining a high level of confidentiality.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and focus on details.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to thoroughly understand the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to quickly learn and accurately use new and/or existing recruiting and HRIS platforms/software.
