Overview:
Administers policies relating to all phases of Plant hourly human resources activity by partnering with Piston leaders to ensure clear and consistent understanding of the companys policies and procedures, to improve morale, enhance work relationships, increase productivity and employee retention. The Plant Human Resources Generalist keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. As well as advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Identifies and clarifies and reports employee issues, evaluate potential solutions to improve employee and supervisor performance. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. procedures, and fostering an open and honest workplace.Trains supervisors in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Plans and conducts new hourly employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward policies, procedures and company goals. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.Piston Automotive

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resource Generalist role in an Automotive or Manufacturing plant environment preferredBachelor's degree Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related roleStrong knowledge of HR concepts, practices, procedures, and basic employment lawsWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance, particularly relevant in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of labor relations principles and practices, including collective bargaining agreements strongly preferredUnderstanding of personnel and compliance records managementProficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software, with knowledge of specific systems used by the company being an advantagePHR and/or SPHR certification strongly preferred
