JOB SUMMARYThe Sports Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating departmental programs, activities and events under the direct supervision of the Fitness and Sports Director. The sports coordinator will work closely with coaches, athletes, and other staff members to ensure that all programs meet the needs and expectations of participants
ABOUT YOUYou possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and a deep passion for sports.
WHAT YOU'LL DOAssist in organizing and supervising seasonal sports programs and camps.Perform all necessary administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, recruitment of new participants, and other program-related duties.Manage inventory of recreational and sports equipment, ensuring that the amount of equipment is sufficient for program needs and that equipment is in good working condition.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.Supervise gymnasium and all programs/open play within the gymnasium.Collaborate with the Fitness and Sports Director in creating curriculum and ensuring day-to-day implementation.Teach sports and recreational enrichment classes during after school and summer camps or as assigned by the Program Manager/Director.Communicate with athletes and parents regarding program information, schedules, and expectations.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Ability to teach and coach youth and high school students, preferred.First Aid/CPR certification, preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office and Google Docs.1+ years' experience working in youth sports.High School or GED Diploma.
SALARYPart time: 20 hours per weekHourly Rate: $25Must have both weekday and weekend availability.
