Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Perioperative Materials Management - 2ndSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ordering of supplies for Outpatient Surgery. The Inventory Coordinator works with the Surgical Services Managers and Team Leaders to identify supply/inventory improvement opportunities. Oversees daily activities for the purchase and distribution of OR materials and supplies. Works collaboratively with sterile processing to minimize high inventory. Acts a liaison to purchasing, sterile processing and OR staff with respect to inventory control.Under general supervision, but according to established procedures, receives supplies, equipment and special orders for Surgery. Verifies accuracy of orders, distributes supplies and maintains accurate inventory reports and related records. Works closely with surgery buyer in the Purchasing Department. Acts as liaison between OR, Materials Management, and Central Sterilizing to obtain equipment, supplies and new products as required by surgeons, anesthesiologists and/or staff. Duties include management of inventory as it relates to picking products, replenishing, requisitioning, shipping and receiving.
