Core Responsibilities:Lead project kickoff meetings and support project execution as needed to ensure intended scope is maintained and projects are both profitable and effective for the intended use of the customer.Develop and review custom equipment proposals and costing sheets including rough order of magnitude (ROM), budgetary, and firm fixed price quotes.Review and understand customer specifications and requirements.Support the sales team in ensuring quotes are developed in accordance with customer specifications, budget, and timing requirements.Concept development, solution development, with support of Roboguide/Visual Components simulation tools.Review completed project material cost and labor performance to optimize cost estimates of future opportunities.Support sales as needed with customer visits, technical reviews, and proposal reviews.Actively participate in the continuous improvement of our proposal and estimating tools and processes.Maintain a standard cost database for materials and labor.Work alongside the company's technical partners when developing the best concept solutions.Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.10+ years engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.Experience in custom equipment machine building including, but not limited to, robotic integration, part feeding systems, and conveyance solutions.Experience with assembly, material handling, machine tending, and pick/pack/pal applications.Experience with 3D modeling and Robotic Simulation Software (preferred).Desired Soft Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and at times independently based on the work requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
