This position is based at our Bend, Oregon headquarters and requires travel to international locations. The NPD Sourcing Manager role reports directly to the Director of Sourcing and Procurement.
Job Description
Step into a pivotal role with Suterra, where you'll be a driving force behind our sourcing and procurement activities. As NPD Sourcing Manager, you'll:Develop and Implement Sourcing Initiatives: design and execute comprehensive sourcing approaches to optimize cost, quality, and supply chain performance in alignment with our strategic sourcing and product development goals.Supplier Identification and Evaluation: identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to enhance our supply base and support our innovation-driven approach.Lead RFQs/RFPs: manage the creation and execution of Requests for Quotation and Proposal, ensuring alignment with our innovation and operational requirements.Contract Negotiation and Management: negotiate and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms and successful onboarding of new suppliers.Cross-functional Collaboration: build strong partnerships with Engineering, Product Development, Operations, and Finance to drive optimal supply cost and performance.Build Key Supplier Relationships: develop and maintain suppliers relationships ensuring effective communication to mitigate risk and maximize opportunities.Supply Market Research: conduct research into industry trends, pricing and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions.Position Growth
Global Collaboration: work closely with teams and suppliers in the US, EU and Asia, broadening your professional network and experience.International Travel: visit global suppliers to assess their capabilities and ensure they meet our high standards. Travel requirements vary through the year with many months requiring no travel and a few requiring multiple trips in a month.Become a Portfolio Project Owner: develop project management skills and business awareness, contributing to portfolio projects first as a sourcing workstream leader, opening up project owner opportunities.Career Development: this position offers a unique opportunity to advance your career with a leading global company creating products, which make people healthier, while enjoying life in the beautiful surroundings of Bend.Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related technical field.Experience working for a manufacturing company is desired.3+ yrs experience working in a Procurement/Sourcing function.
