Position Summary:The Surveillance AgentApprentice will train and develop skills to provide and maintain a covert and proactive surveillance operation that protects the Company's gaming licenses and assets. The Surveillance AgentApprentice will gain a working knowledge of all essential Job Duties of the Surveillance Agent I role and will be required to pass a proficiency exam prior to the end of the training period. The Surveillance AgentApprentice will perform all responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.2. Responsible for learning essential gaming regulations, the Company's Internal Control System, the department policies and procedures, and develop a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws. Ability to monitor other department's policies and procedures.3. Gain knowledge of known cheaters, advantage players, scams, and illegal methods of gaming.4. Develop a knowledge of all casino games, including but not limited to: Blackjack, Baccarat, various carnival games, Pai Gow Poker, Slots, Poker and Bingo, and understand all relevant aspects of each game, such as dealing procedures, counting strategies, and methods of cheating.5. Develop skills to proficiently operate all surveillance CCTV and related equipment to detect any violations of law, policies and procedures.6. Thoroughly understand Company emergency action procedures.7. Report to the Shift Manager any violations of law, gaming regulations, and company policies and procedures, as well as all pertinent information regarding the Surveillance department.8. Observe the precepts of truth, accuracy, and prudence, and do not allow personal feelings, prejudices, animosities, or friendships to interfere or influence judgments.9. Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the operations, controls, and procedures involved in surveillance activities.10. Other job-related duties, as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.2. Must be at least 21 years of age.3. Must be able to successfully pass a Gaming Commission background investigation.4. Must be computer literate, able to learn and use computer programs, and type for extended periods of time.5. Must be professional and investigative.6. Be able to react quickly and accurately under demanding, high stress conditions.7. Be able to work constantly changing schedules to adjust to fluctuating business demands and work any shift, including holidays, with fluctuating days off.8. Be able to be autonomous and very low profile.9. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and honest.10. Must be able to pass a proficiency exam upon the completion of the training period to continue into Surveillance Agent I role.

Physical Requirements:1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letter, numbers and symbols.2. Ability to work in confined areas.3. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds with or without assistance.4. Ability to work in a high energy, high-pressure environment.5. Ability to hear.6. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and sit for duration of shift.

Work Conditions:Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
