Business Development Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company growth targets and expand J3 Consulting’s presence in the federal marketplace.

Market Analysis : Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use this information to inform business development strategies and decision-making.

Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within federal agencies and other potential clients. Understand their needs and align J3 Consulting’s offerings to meet those needs.

Opportunity Identification : Identify and qualify new business opportunities through various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, and market research.

Proposal Development : Lead the development of high-quality proposals and responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure proposals are compelling and compliant.

Partnership Development : Identify and establish partnerships with other companies and organizations that can enhance J3 Consulting’s service offerings and market position.

Performance Metrics : Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and outcomes.

Industry Engagement : Represent J3 Consulting at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation within the federal contracting community.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development within the federal government contracting sector.

8+ years of capture management experience identifying and supporting proposal responses.

Prior strategic Federal account management experience.

Excellent communication and writing skills, with both technical and analytical language.

Self-motivated with a great sense of urgency and follow-through.

Must have a good understanding of government procurement and government contract vehicles.

Excellent communicator who can quickly earn the respect of the team and customers.

Solid ability to develop, communicate, and document strategic plans and initiatives to stakeholders and executive management alike.

Strong strategic document development and creation.

Must have the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

Qualifications:

Proven track record of securing new business and achieving sales targets in the federal marketplace.

Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Pay:

$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
