Team Overview:

Join a team of seasoned sales and business development leaders building our Solution Partners business. Our Solution Partners are a critical part of our company evolution as we focus more on end-to-end solutions that take advantage of the full technical power of Impinj RAIN products, from RFID Readers, to Endpoint ICs, to Cloud Services, and beyond. Ecosystem Solution partners are close co-development partners for technical solutions that impact the overall deployment and growth of RAIN and is thus a critical role within our team. Through a consultative sales process, our Solution Partners team uses the Impinj platform to deliver RAIN, our best-in-market products, capabilities, and technology to deliver solutions that address business needs.

As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for generating new business for our emerging Solutions opportunity. This role requires strong communication skills and someone with the consultative know-how to ‘get in the arena’ with customers, learn their pain points, understand technical requirements and the design-in landscape, and partner to help them develop solutions on the Impinj platform. Our ideal candidate is highly driven, collaborative, with a track record of success developing critical partnerships.

What you will do:

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow Impinj-based solutions for key target markets, aligning with overall company objectives and growth targets.

Build relationships with the largest and most strategic Solutions Partners across the globe, through understanding and consultative partnership of how to transform their business needs and driving influence across all levels within the organization, up to the executive level decision makers.

Partner with Product Management and Engineering at critical stages in the engagement of the ecosystem and end-user to raise awareness of our Impinj product portfolio.

Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams within Impinj and industry ecosystem partners to deliver delightful experiences and meaningful business outcomes to Solution Partners.

Develop and introduce new technical innovations from Impinj-to-Partners and Partners-to-Impinj to ensure world-class solutions that solve critical RAIN deployment applications.

Be the field and partner authority within the company and with end-users for key vertical markets and develop company visibility into market needs and demand.

This role requires ~25% international and domestic travel.

What you will bring:

12+ years' experience in a technical sales or business development role, preferably RF/wireless.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree or certificate in business, marketing, engineering, or related fields.

Demonstrated success with business impactful sales or business development deals, delivering best-in class system and/or partner-level technical solutions.

Demonstrated success engaging with C-level contacts within target Solutions Partner organizations.

Ability to quickly master and understand the UHF (ultra-high frequency) RFID ecosystem from End Users, SI, Service bureaus to inlay manufacturers.

Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and create differentiated offerings that result in revenue generation for both Impinj and our Solutions Partners.

A history of success solving complex global partner issues in collaboration with a team.

Prior experience with Salesforce.com our corporate online customer relationship management tool.

Outstanding written and verbal communication in English, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and a track record of successful collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits:

The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $160,000 - $255,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
