The incumbent reports to the Family Success Center Director and plays a crucial role in fulfilling the dual missions of the Family Success Center (FSC). The Community Engagement Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include enhancing community safety through outreach, fostering partnerships, planning community activities and meetings, implementing a coaching program with community advisory members, and providing support with navigation and programming as required.Responsibilities:Ensures that appropriate partners are engaged to provide service and support to referred neighborhood cluster area residents; attends community/neighborhood meetings and events to keep abreast of programs, projects, and community resources.Serves as one of the public representatives of GAFSC’ BFSC at community meetings and events as needed; engages in partner and community outreach activities; works with community-based organizations to develop professional capacity to serve and build communities and provides support to strengthen existing partners.Engages in partner and community outreach activities; works with community-based organizations to develop professional capacity to serve and build communities; provides support to strengthen existing partners. Ensures program activities and partnerships are integrated with the BFSC. Works closely with the Community Advisory Council (CAC).Develop and implement a coaching program with the Community Advisory Committee with lived experience, with a necessary component being the ongoing measurement of individual-level well-being and community safety throughout the grant.Organizing and providing one-off community events focused on family and youth development, community safety, and violence prevention. Attends community/neighborhood meetings and events to keep abreast of programs, projects, and community resources.Assist in recruiting individuals with lived experience as well as community advocates to serve on the Community Advisory Committee. Collaborate with appropriate partners to accept referrals from residents referred by the navigators.Requirements and skills:

Requirements for the position include demonstrated knowledge of social work practices, community-based work, child welfare laws and regulations, senior population issues, and housing in the District. Competencies in clinical assessment, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, statistical and narrative data analysis, program planning, budget control, administrative tasks, public relations, marketing, proposal writing, and fundraising are essential. Strong leadership, supervision, training, and motivational skills are necessary, along with the ability to address issues specific to Ward 4 residents, engage communities effectively, uphold confidentiality protocols, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities.Education:

A degree in Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field is desired. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered. Prior knowledge or experience of GAFSC services is a plus or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.Experience:
