: Day: 8 hoursJob DescriptionThe Epic Client Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Core EMR platform demonstrates high reliability, scalability, performance and recovery best practices to support business strategy and operations.Key Responsibilities:Installing and managing the application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needsInstalling and maintaining the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of our Epic system(s)Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issuesAssisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third party software and peripheralsManaging logins for different types of access, including login behavior and working environment configurationApplying platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production componentsResponding to emergency and after-hours issuesEngaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resourcesCollaborating with your technical teams and Epic to ensure proactive supportWriting and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasksParticipating in your change control process for all planned application and technical activitiesMaintaining and testing processes related to business continuityFollowing vendor and Epic best practices for hardware and software configurationManaging print queues and Epic printing infrastructureMonitoring network and Web server activity for security breaches using intrusion detection techniquesPerforming file system managementQualifications:Bachelor's Degree Preferred4 years of direct Epic ECSA experience with progressive experience is requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in information technology requiredLicense/Certification/Registration Requirements:Current Epic ECSA certification is requiredOne or more Third Party Certifications or certification is preferred:Microsoft MCSA Microsoft MCP Microsoft MCTS Citrix CCA-V Citrix CCA-N VMware VCP-DCV VMware VCP-DTM CompTIA Server+ INDEPCKey competencies:KuiperSystemPulsePowershell scriptingExpertise in the Microsoft Windows server administrationExperience with VMware ESXiExperience with hardware or software load balancing solutions such as F5 Big-IPWorking knowledge of:Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) administrationSSL/TLS/CertificatesNetwork protocols and functionality including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, and HTTP/STraining and certifications (one or more): Epic Client Systems Administration - BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and PrintingEpic Client Systems Administration - MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare LinkEpic Client Systems Administration Care EverywhereEpic Client Systems Administration Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, and System PulseSalary Range:
