We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.Director of AdmissionsLocation: Paterson, NJSign on bonus of $5000 (Full Time Only) (New Employees Only)Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of Admissions Department.Manage, supervise, hire and terminate staff of the Admissions Department as required.Ensure that Admission’s staff members fulfill the required credentials for their assigned positions.Ensure that Admission’s staff members perform their duties in accordance with their respective Job Descriptions and maintain pleasant, cooperative and helpful attitudes in interacting with all clients, new admissions, referral sources and individual contacts both in person and over the telephone.Ensure Admission staff are trained in the following areas:Screening clients for admissions.Admission intake procedures including documentation required for admission (e.g. NJSAMS, LOCI, and ASAM etc.).Inter departmental communication for all new admission.Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with Admission staff to evaluate problem areas in the admission process and to ensure smooth functioning of Admissions Department. Conduct internal staff trainings as needed.Conduct annual Employee Evaluations for Admission staff and review their job descriptions and payroll responsibilities consultation to counselors that provide co-occurring services.Act as a liaison between Straight & Narrow and referral sources (DMHAS, Criminal Justice System, RCI, DCP&P, Medical Facilities/Hospitals) by communicating and marketing all of Straight & Narrow’s Programs.Ensure that referral sources and self-referred applicants are responded to and informed of clients’ admission status at Straight & Narrow in a timely manner.Represent Admissions Department at the required meetings and seminars both inside and outside the agency.Monitor funding slot matrix to ensure that funded slots are filled only with clients meeting funding criteria and that utilization is maintained at 95% of matrix.Supervise and monitor for accuracy daily census, weekly roster of scheduled admissions and discharges, and monthly roster. Monitor methadone clients and maintain weekly Roster of active methadone clients and discharge dates. Act as a liaison between agency and outside methadone clinic. Attend and help facilitate weekly methadone meeting with outside agency.Ensure that daily count sheet, monthly roster/matrix/census is communicated to Straight & Narrow staff, DCP&P, DMHAS and Recovery Court as required.Review all screening packets for appropriateness for admission.Ensure that all necessary pre-admission information is sent to client’s prior admission (such as request for identifying documents needed to apply for entitlements, allowed property list).Ensure that all admissions have been fully screened for physical and mental health problems and obtain documentation as indicated prior to admitting the clients.Ensure that the Admissions counselors complete all the required admissions documentation in compliance with Straight & Narrow’s admission policies and procedures.Ensure that all admissions are entered accurately in NJSAMS.Review all completed admissions packets for completeness and accuracy and forward to directors for co-sign all assessments, DSM V diagnoses, ASAM PPC-2R and ASAM LOCI.Act as liaison with NJSAMS staff and ensure that all new admitting staff are trained in necessary NJSAMS modules.Supervise initiation of entitlement application process on day of admission including, if necessary, applications for birth certificate, SS card, marriage license (if appropriate) and ROI to obtain Judgment of Conviction, and arrange for PC DSS appointment when all information has been obtained.Participate in Quality Assurance Program and be part of Committees to ensure program compliance.Ensure that Reception desk/Operator and switchboard are always attended. Oversee Residential life receiving client property as well as drop offs. Ensure full inventory is completed for all new client’s clothing and uploaded into EHR system. Store all clients’ property including but not limited to cell phones and identifications.Ensure all admissions are completed via EHR system.Follow all Electronic Health Records (EHR) policies.Qualifications:Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience in Human Services/related field and LCADC. Dual License preferred. Or bachelor's degree with CADC and three years of experiences at several levels of care and experience with Electronic Health Records.For full time positions, we offer medical, vision, dental, life and supplemental life insurance. Accidental and Critical Illness Insurance, 403B with employer match, Paid Time off (PTO), in house training seminars, two training days for certified professionals. SN also offers supervision for those individuals trying to become licensed in NJ as a LCADC/CADC, LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC and LMFT.
