JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Clinical Administrator, the Coordinator of Admissions manages the facility's census by engage potential clients in the screening and intake process for all clinical programs. The Coordinator of Admissions is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources. The Coordinator of Admissions frequently consults with the Director of Halfway Houses and Director of Outpatient regarding approval for new admissions.

JOB DUTIES

Embodies Eva's Village's core values, voice and tone in order to provide an exceptional and effective experience for our clients, funders, employees and volunteersOversees scheduling of screening and intake appointments.Capable of completing biopsychosocial assessments for clients seeking substance use disorder and/or mental health disorder treatment.Understands prevention, treatment and recovery support services resources.Possesses an understanding of confidentiality rules and regulations related to 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and HIPAA standards.Must be able to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.Good interpersonal and consumer service skills required.Must maintain a professional demeanor and perform duties effectively in stressful/emergency situations.Must be able to maintain objectivity and deal diplomatically with all callers to the Admissions DepartmentMaintains department records and statistics.Assists in the development of a marketing plan for the agency.Assists as directed in the development and implementation of outreach efforts with public and private programs and social services agency.Recommends the hiring and/or termination of staff to the Clinical Administrator and assumes responsibility for the process of orienting and training staff.Participates in administrative and clinical staff meetings within the agency.Maintains effective interdepartmental communications.Assumes responsibility for assessing departmental needs and for the scheduling of Admissions Department staff.Assumes responsibility for remaining current concerning trends/changes in the health care, sheltering and social service fields as they relate to assessing the need for refinements in current service procedures.Maintains client database.Provides outreach and engagement services designed to assist clients in accessing treatment and recovery support services.Maintains up-to-date client screening files.Participates in program data collection and maintains program tracking mechanisms.Any other projects/activities as deemed necessary by the Clinical Administrator

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:CADC Required

LCADC preferred

EXPERIENCE:

5 years' experience in substance use disorder and/or mental health treatment field

Knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health disorder treatment.

Knowledge of prevention, treatment and recovery support services resources.

Understanding confidentiality rules and regulations related to 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and HIPAA.

Ability to speak, read and write English.

Must be able to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Good interpersonal and consumer service skills required.

Must maintain a professional demeanor and perform duties effectively in stressful/emergency situations.

Must be able to maintain objectivity and deal diplomatically with clients and family members.
