Biotechnology company is hiring a Scientist I/II/Sr. to conduct laboratory experiments to support new projects. This is a 12-month contract.Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory experiments utilizing established procedures and technical and theoretical understanding and makes recommendations to resolve problems encountered during experimental procedures.Assumes responsibility for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of experimental results.Summarizes experimental results, and reviews conclusions with supervisor/project leader.Keeps supervisor/project leader informed of project status, particularly of significant findings and results in critical problem areas.Performs work according to established internal safety guidelines and procedures, and as specified by appropriate external regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA).Analyzes experimental data using various data analysis software and/or applying quantitative methods.Uses technical writing skills to produce reports and documents.Participates in routine lab maintenance, lab safety, ISO, and QSR implementation.May troubleshoot issues related to instrumentation.Qualifications

PhD/Master's/Bachelor's in life sciences, chemical sciences or related scientific discipline.1-3 years of industry experience.Ability to design and execute relevant laboratory experimentation and determine next steps within the context of overall project goals and direction.Subject to OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen Standard. Routinely handle blood, blood products, body fluids or other potentially infectious materials.Subject to respiratory protection standard and working with potential hazardous chemicals.Work with potential radiological hazards and potential biological hazards.Wear personal protective equipment, such as eye, foot, lab coat, gowning coveralls.Wear respirator dust mask cartridge/air purifying supplied air.Wear hearing protective devices. Confined space work.Salary
