We are currently seeking to add a

Hydrogeologist/Remediation Engineer

to our dynamic team in

Seattle, Washington.

Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 annually

This position supports our Seattle, Washington office, but allows for a flexible, hybrid work schedule providing the ability to work in the Issaquah or Seattle offices for training and collaboration days and meetings.

In this position, you will be a key contributor in supporting the growth of Environmental Services for PBS in the Puget Sound Region by providing project and client management services for hydrogeologic characterization, environmental investigations and remediation, and water resources assessment. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for strategy development and project delivery on diverse, multi-disciplinary local and regional projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering or other related field

Professionally licensed in Washington

15+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, including planning and performing site investigation, characterization, and remediation in Washington State.

Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams to conduct Remedial Investigations and Feasibility Studies for remediation projects with varying degrees of complexity and/or overall scope.

Well-versed working knowledge of environmental regulations and guidance including MTCA, RCRA, and CERCLA.

Experience working with the Washington State Department of Ecology through formal and voluntary cleanups, including those enrolled in programs administered by the Pollution Liability Insurance Agency.

Deep knowledge of project and firm financial performance metrics and management, ability to assess overall project risk, and manage long term project liabilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to independently prepare proposals, summary reports, and formal cleanup documentation including Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study reports, Cleanup Action Plans, and Cleanup Action Reports.

Availability to travel as required for project and business development related work.

Desirable Qualifications:

Certified Water Rights Examiner (CWRE)

40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training or willingness to obtain

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing a broad range of projects in contaminated site investigation and remediation, environmental due diligence, litigation support, and regulatory coordination.

Provide project and client management services for hydrogeologic characterization, environmental investigations, remediation and water resources assessment.

Direct remedial investigation and feasibility studies from concept to final delivery, including the preparation of technical reports and engineering design documents.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydrogeological and engineering considerations into environmental assessments and remediation plans

Manage and implement groundwater remediation projects, including the selection and design of appropriate remediation techniques

Mentor and develop junior staff

Ability to work with our internal team of scientists and engineers on business development.
