Theoretical Quantum Information Scientist

Essential Duties:
Analyze and design protocols and architectures for quantum information science applications.
Present ideas and results in effective technical presentations, write technical papers, reports and proposals.
Work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated research experience in quantum information science including the development and analysis of fault tolerance protocols, analysis of algorithms, and various applications of quantum information theory.
In-depth understanding of multiple aspects of quantum information theory.
Coursework or experience in theoretical computer science.
Analysis and/or development of efficient approximation algorithms.
Knowledge of discrete mathematics, numerical analysis and scientific computing techniques.
Experience with C++ 11 and Python.
Required Education:Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering
Physical Requirements:Excellent written and verbal communications skills, excellent problem solving skills, ability and desire to work in team environment, ability to spend long periods of time at a computer monitor, and ability to travel.
Special Requirements:U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain US Government security clearances as required.
Compensation:The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
