Essential Duties:
Candidate must exhibit abilities to read and to produce robust source code and associated mathematical analysis for the numerical evaluation of systems intended to distribute photonic and microwave entanglement, to interact with experimental practitioners, and to provide critical input to developing methods for engineering and evaluating quantum network systems.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to theoretical analysis of spin-based quantum computing devices, both with and without the networking context.
Required Skills:
Coursework or experience in applied quantum information theory (channel/noise analysis, theoretical quantum optics, quantum state and process tomography, algorithms/QEC, optimized control theory, data analysis for quantum experiments, etc.)
Familiarity with mathematical software development, preferably python-based, or alternatively Matlab, Mathematica, Julia, C/C++, etc., is a must.
Prior in-depth interaction with experimental groups.
