This role is central to fostering a healthy work environment by effectively managing complex cases, supporting organizational goals, and ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolutions. The Senior Employee Relations Manager will work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and management to create a culture of trust, accountability, and engagement. The role will report to the AVP, HR.
ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations Strategy:Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive employee relations strategy aligned with organizational goals and values.Partner with HRBPs to proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance employee relations processes, policies, and programs.Serve as a strategic partner to HRBPs, to address employee relations matters respectfully, promptly, and thoroughly.Case Management:Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and other employment matters.Ensure timely, thorough, and respectful investigations, maintaining accurate documentation and records.Collaborate with HRBPs and legal team to manage high-risk cases and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.Policy Development and Compliance:Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.Work closely with HRBPs, HR Operations, and legal teams to establish clear guidelines for employee relations processes.Conduct training sessions for HRBPs and managers on best practices in handling employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.Data Analytics and Reporting:Analyze employee relations data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.Provide regular reports to HRBPs and leadership on employee relations metrics, case outcomes, and insights for continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations cases.Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Proven ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, with HRBPs and cross-functional teams.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Expert in addressing complex employee relations matters with respect, consistency, and compliance.Extensive knowledge of employment laws, performance management, and best practices in workplace investigations.Proven ability to foster a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability while maintaining focus on organizational goals.Skilled in analyzing employee relations data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and enhance engagement strategies.Strong commitment to promoting a fair, inclusive, and healthy work environment aligned with the company’s values.
