As we work to weave diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and foster a sense of belonging throughout the company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves: What is our impact on the world?In the role of Traffic EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:Work as part of a traffic team under the direction of the Project Engineer/Manager on a variety of traffic analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects.Conduct operational traffic analysis using a variety of modeling tools, ranging from Synchro/Highway Capacity Software to complex microsimulation models in TransModeler/Vissim, analyzing everything from isolated intersections and roundabouts to urban arterials and freeway corridors.Focus on traffic design, crash analysis and mitigation strategies, and traffic signal timing plans.Conduct traffic design using CAD platforms including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Guide Sign software.Conduct operational analysis using a variety of analysis and modeling tools specific to support job duties, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun.Conduct safety analysis using a variety of safety software tools including Highway Safety Software.Perform other duties as needed.Preferred QualificationsCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT within 1 year.Computer skills using Microsoft Office, Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, and MicroStation.Preference given to local candidates.Required QualificationsAbility to multitask while working on many projects at once.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.What We BelieveHDR is our company.
