Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a Sr. Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects and programs within Amazon Transportation Services. This role will enable you to scope and create project plans, develop processes, coordinate and drive execution, and communicate executive presentations to senior management on status, risks and proposed changes. Cross functional coordination, project management, and experience with data mining, data analysis, Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Access skills are essential.
Key job responsibilitiesDevelop program expansion strategy of over the road driving and own top-level business goalsWrite business plans/proposals to champion new initiativesRun data analysis and simulations of operational scenarios to influence optimal program decisionsEarn trust with internal and external partners, and balance competing priorities in a rapidly changing environmentDevelopment of the overall program strategy, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliverOwn program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriateWork autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisionsPartner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority orderOversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modesWork with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate, impact critical business initiatives and drive delivery of resultsDevelop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence.Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
Minimum Requirements:5+ years of program or project management experienceBachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related fieldExperience owning end-to-end long-term strategic planning or capacity planning initiatives5 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experienceKnowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQLExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience5+ years of driving process improvements experienceExperience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organizationExperience building processes, project management, and schedulesExperience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques
