Join Inspired Flight Technologies as we expand our Operations team with a dynamic Solutions Engineer. If you're an industry expert with a keen understanding of the evolving landscape of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), we want you onboard.This multifaceted role combines engineering talent with client interaction. You'll engage customers and prospects in a consultative manner, understanding their unique needs and applications. Your insights will shape development requirements, driving the creation of top-tier solutions seamlessly integrated with Inspired Flight systems. Collaboration will be key, as you'll closely interface with our sales, solutions engineering, and integrations teams.We're seeking an individual fueled by curiosity, passionate about complex system development, and adept at turning ideas into reality. As a pivotal liaison for our clients, you'll embody accountability, strategic acumen, and an in-depth understanding of our product suite.Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity for ambitious professionals. Multi-disciplinary projects including design, development, testing, and documentationManage multiple projects in parallel or series dependent on prioritiesConsult with existing and prospective customers to identify customer requirements, create a development plan, and execute the development of the solutionCollaborate with the Sales Team on opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proof-of-concept presentations, RFP responses, and business justification in a presales capacityAnalyze to determine the best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training on Inspired Flight’s ProductsAssist with additional engineering projects in other departments across the companyYou’ll excel in this role if you have:
Prior experience with a UAS manufacturing companyKnowledge of mechanical, electrical (wiring), and firmware engineeringExperience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, defense sectorExceptional communication skills, including demonstrated experience in delivering solutions proposals to executive-level stakeholdersThrives in a fast-paced start-up environment with superior organizational and time-urgency skillsAbility to travel domestically and visit customers approximately once per quarter dependent upon the business opportunityEducation/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience3-5 years of field experience in a similar roleYou must be able to obtain a Part 107 UAV pilot’s license within your first six monthsSalary & Benefits Offered
