Job DescriptionAs a Paraprofessional with CDL-B at The Menta Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school. In addition, the Paraprofessional with CDL-B will provide student transportation to and from school and "as needed" during school hours.
Responsibilities
Manage classroom behaviorsProvide CDL-B Transportation to and from school and "as needed" during school hours.Report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staffImplement and maintain behavioral program policies and dataMaintain classroom order and safety (Security)Provide general supervision of students inside the school settingAssist in the prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behaviorMaintain alertness for problems likely to disrupt the educational process or to be a safety concern and correct and report these conditionsRespond to emergency situationsProvide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviorsThink quickly, independently, and tactfullyQualifications
CDL-BParaprofessional certification or the ability to obtain Paraprofessional certificationAble to work with high-risk special needs studentsSecurity or Juvenile Justice background is helpfulGood driving record and willingness to drive student van is preferredMilitary Veterans are encouraged to applyAbility to operate tactfully under stressFlexibility to change in routinesAt least 23 years of ageBenefits
