If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you.Role SummaryThe Director of Supply Ops sets the long-term strategy and oversees the performance of the Supply Operations department for Alaska Airlines (AS). This role establishes strategic goals and direction for a team of leaders establishing priorities for warehousing and the delivery/distribution of parts for Alaska Airlines.Key DutiesEstablish strategic goals and direction for the team of Supply Ops leaders and direct material control activities.Set long-term strategy for monitoring of inventory systems and ensure automated processes are efficient and economical.Establish warehousing and manpower to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.Evaluate and implement improvements to current material control systems.Partner with Finance/Accounting and Maintenance departments to ensure accurate inventory tracking.Evaluate and improve material receiving and distribution processes.Ensure parts removed for maintenance actions are efficiently processed.Serve as member/advisor of the DAG/CASWG and AS Maintenance Review Board.Maintain compliance with SMS and AS safety policies and procedures.Promote a culture of safety and compliance.Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback.Drive effective diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.Shape the culture of the team through action and reinforcement of behaviors.Job-Specific Experience, Education & SkillsRequired8 years of experience in material planning, supply ops, warehouse management, or related area.5 years of people leadership experience, with at least 2 years of directly leading people.A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or an additional 2 years of experience in lieu of this degree.Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.Ability to develop new ideas to improve safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost.Superior ability to present complex problems to senior leadership.Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change cross-divisionally.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Minimum age of 18.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.PreferredExperience with inventory management software.Knowledge of dangerous goods shipping procedures.Familiarity with OSHA/EPA regulations.Familiarity with IAM labor agreements.Airport SIDA Badge RequirementsEmployees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing.Job-Specific Leadership ExpectationsEmbody our values to own safety and do the right thing.Innovative and resilient mindset.Ability to scope situations and develop responsive plans.Salary Range$157,700 - $252,300 / yearSalary DetailsThe pay range is based on multiple factors, including location and experience level.Total RewardsFree stand-by travel privileges, generous 401k match program, quarterly and annual bonus plans, and generous holiday and paid time off.Apply by 7:00 PM Pacific Time on
