The Associate Director of Admissions, Campus Visits functions as a front-line professional, managing the complex campus visitation programs which serve over 30,000 prospective students and family members each year and ensure the accuracy of over 700 campus tours annually. Ensures that all prospective students and other campus visitors have a positive, personalized experience and will provide leadership and direction to front desk student workers and staff who assist in the visitor services center. Additionally, the Associate Director shares advising and management of the Charleston 40 Tour Guides Organization.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in admissions, visitor services or related field. Experience managing student workers or volunteers preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must be well organized, personable and detail-oriented. Strong planning, organizing, computing and oral and written skills are essential. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other staff and members of the college community is required. Must have the ability to connect with students and family members of a diverse population. Must be articulate and knowledgeable regarding the college’s academic position as a competitive liberal arts and science institution. Must have considerable knowledge and skills in computer operations, data entry, MS Word, Excel and Access.Additional Comments Regarding Position:
This position requires some evening and weekend work, may require in and out of state travel and occasional overnight stays.
