Description
The Senior Manager, Grant Management will be responsible for managing a portfolio of grant obligations, ensuring proper timelines, resource allocation, collection of data, financial reconciliation, and reporting on progress and results for grant funded programs. This role works cross functionally to ensure departments are meeting all required deliverables and timelines. This position reports to our Chief Growth Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee a portfolio of current grant programs.Plan and implement strategies to generate financial support by identifying, researching, cultivating, and soliciting private/corporate foundations and federal and state funding sources.Understand project deliverables and timelines and, working with the project leads, translate them into project management tools, which are then continuously updated.Assist Project Directors and staff in grant implementation and management, including instruction of internal processes, as necessary.Track and reconcile budgeting and resource allocation for each grant.Collect, organize and present relevant data and reporting for each grant.Monitor and respond to all grant reporting deadlines, as appropriate.Prepare interim and final grant report narratives and budget.Monitor and evaluate program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to funder and team needs.Prepare senior leadership for funder meetings by providing project status reports, as requested.Collaborate with the Program and Finance teams in the development of new grant proposals, ensuring accuracy of proposed resource allocations.Ensure compliance with federal regulations and grant requirements.Provide assistance and support to grant recipients.Monitor and evaluate grant performance and effectiveness.Work on other projects as needed.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Four year degree in related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.7+ years of grant management including report writing.5+ years of experience managing budgets.Expert in project management of organization-wide programs.Strong communication skills, both oral and written required.Strong report writing skills.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) required.Experience with SalesForce preferred.Communications (written, oral, and public speaking skills): Speaks, writes, and presents clearly and is able to distill complex information for varying levels of understanding.Teamwork: actively engages with peers and other team members to establish collaborative working relationships.Proactivity: acts without being told what to do, brings new ideas to the organization, and incorporates feedback when appropriate.Organization and planning: plans, organizes, and schedules in an efficient, productive manner. Focus on key priorities and pivots when necessary.Attention to detail and follow-up: does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.Familiarity with Uniform Guidance, or 2 CRF Part 200 would be a big plus.
