This position negotiates and implements various types of contracts on behalf of the multiple affiliates of the Montefiore Health System. Those contracts include managed care (FFS), value based, business support and delegated credentialing contracts with clients and payors, as needed.The position provides support services and interfaces daily with Senior Director, Contracting and Corporate Affairs, AVP Payment Innovations, AVP Finance, AVP Quality Improvement, AVP Network Development, and Chief Medical Officer regarding contracting negotiations and the operational impact of active contracts.This position will be subject matter expert for all contracts and client relationships and will work with the Project Management Office to implement new process/expansion of programs to existing value based, management and client contracts. Responsible for regular reviews, verification and updating data related to contract performance to identify opportunities for relationship improvements and negotiate strategies to implement improvements between both parties.This position is a key contact for senior management both internally and externally (health plans and clients) and assists the Account Management team in the resolution operational issues arising from contractual relationships. It has a direct impact on Montefiore Health Systems revenues since it is responsible for the implementation of multiple types of managed care, value based and client support contracts. The position is also responsible for contracting and maintenance of the business supports (vendor/consultant/software) contracts and relationships which are directly tied to the value based, clinical and strategize initiatives throughout the organization.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred.Must have in depth knowledge and understanding of contract negotiation, finance and provider reimbursement methodologies including Fee for Services, risk, shared savings, ACO and other financial incentive strategies.In-depth knowledge and understanding of current healthcare industry issues and trends including national and state-level payment reform landscape and strategy (e.g. accountable care and value based payment).Proven negotiation skills with providers and managed care plans.Knowledge of federal and state Medicare, Medicaid and relevant guidelines, regulations and standards.Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills. Position will interact with internal and external executive teams.Experience in Microsoft Office programs.Department:
