Business Development Manager
to join its sales team in the Los Angeles region.The
Business Development Manager
is a vital position within the sales department for the future growth of Mayflower Cruises & Tours. You will be responsible for achieving monthly and annual sales goals as well as coming up with ideas for strategic sales plans and their implementation. Developing, managing, and nurturing new Group Travel business partnerships and accounts to accomplish volume and profit goals is key to this position.
The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000, depending on location, experience, and track record. This position is eligible for generous incentives/commissions.
Role & Responsibilities:Increase and generate sales in an assigned territoryManage accounts successfully using our CRM systemTravel a minimum of 50% of the time to meet clientele and new leadsLearn company sales practicesLearn product and destination details for selling Mayflower Cruises & ToursExecute presentations effectively to make the saleStrong computer and communication skillsMaintain account profiles, ensuring complete and accurate contact detailsExcellent organizational and follow-up skillsProven track record of developing new businessQualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in the travel industryExcellent industry and group market knowledgeExperience working for a travel company is a plusExisting network and account relationships within the travel communityTour, River Cruise, or Ocean Cruise experience desiredNeat, professional appearance and demeanor always expected when representing the company brandsAble to travel 50% or more of the timeAdept with the use of MS Office packageFamiliarity and comfort with Salesforce.com or similar CRM applications preferredAbility to work effectively in a home office-based environmentSelf-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to take responsibility and consistently exceed objectivesStrong presentation, organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage time and prioritize work autonomouslyFor more information, please visit
