Job Responsibilities

Effectively demonstrates excellent member service skills in all member interactions. Works closely with branch management team and peers to continually develop sales and service and leadership skills.Works with a sense of urgency and efficiency to minimize wait time for all member requests and transactions.Assists members in initiation, maintenance and closure of credit union products and services by identifying their financial needs and recommending the use of appropriate products and services.Reviews suspicious or unusual transactions and items. Approves transactions within defined authority levels. Uses judgment along with defined policies and procedures to determine if the transaction or item is valid. Issues transaction overrides and removes flags when needed within defined authority levels.Updates and maintains all necessary paperwork with regard to member accounts, including member service agreements, account maintenance, certificates and any other paperwork generated by member transactions.Updates member information and post deposits/payments. Able to provide members with account history information and explanations of dividend interest calculations and loan payment amortization.Assists in the maintenance, security and safety of the branch. Follows the procedures for opening and closing the branch.Lending Operations

Responsible for all phases of loan origination, interviewing, processing and obtaining all necessary documentation to complete a loan package.Prepares and processes all documents and proceeds for approved loans, maintaining all loan documents through closing in an orderly, accurate manner.Other Duties as Assigned

Assists with notary administration as needed.Meets the current standards as established for the branch in the completion of all assigned duties.Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Requirements

Works closely with branch supervisors to improve upon current skills.Works efficiently to minimize wait time for all new account and loan assistance.Communicates professionally and timely in person, by telephone and in writing regarding credit union membership, services and products.Projects a positive attitude with members and employees consistent with Credit Union 1’s mission and core values to maintain and contribute to a high level of member services.Adheres to the credit union’s dress code policy.Qualifications

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.Minimum of six months financial institution experience required.Consumer loan experience is preferred.Must possess excellent communication skills and exercise sound judgment when evaluating loan and other member requests.Must have the ability to consistently meet individual and branch goals and objectives.Must project a positive attitude and proactively evaluate and present credit union products and services that best meet a person’s financial needs.Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while adjusting priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.Responsible for abiding by and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign asset control laws and regulations (OFAC).Please Note:
