ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Own annual marketing plan, budget, and goals to include initiatives such as key sponsorships, advertising, member communications, product marketing, and campaigns.

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to drive member acquisition, retention, and engagement. Ensures all marketing efforts align with the credit union’s strategic vision and operating plan.

Drives partnership marketing strategy and execution including initiatives to drive awareness and create opportunities for business development.

Identify, track, and report on KPIs tied to strategic organizational goals and department efforts.

Works across functional areas of the organization to support key initiatives and ensure a consistent member experience throughout communication channels.

Responsible for marketing policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.

Partner with internal stakeholders to expand CU1’s digital experience.

Utilize technology and analytics to identify marketing and industry-specific trends.

Responsible for building and managing a comprehensive annual advertising strategy and overseeing media buying vendor relationships and budget.

Collaborates with internal content and creative teams and external vendors to ensure an integrated marketing strategy is executed across all communication channels.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates support for the corporate mission, vision, and values.

Maintains a positive working relationship with department personnel, including management, supervisory and all other employees.

Occasional travel and work outside of normal business hours, including the weekend, may be required.

Community service is required of all management staff. While some may occur during work hours with the permission of the VP of Marketing & Communications, some may also occur outside of normal working hours. Community service is defined as serving on a non-profit board of directors, volunteer participation in fundraisers for social services and participation in other social services events. In addition, attendance at management mandated events will be required.

Meets the current standards as established for the department or branch in the completion of all assigned duties.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A 4-year degree in marketing, communication, or related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in branding, marketing, or communications, and 2 years of managerial experience.

Proven track record of leading successful marketing and brand strategies.

Knowledge of the budgeting process and budget tracking and ownership.

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive alignment and implementation.

Ability to engage with leadership, work collaboratively and effectively influence across levels.

Self-starter with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and still meet deadlines.

Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the procedure for compliance with the Office of Foreign Assets Control laws and regulations (OFAC).

Please note:

Credit Union 1 does not provide relocation assistance. If selected for an on-site position, candidates will be responsible for relocating to Alaska prior to the agreed upon start date at their own expense.
