Senior Test AnalystMust have Financial Pension Systems experience, or other Government financial systems at a large-scale.Experience should include:Leading a large group of testers, ideally user acceptance testersWorking with a comprehensive test management toolBusiness focus while possessing an understanding of testing from multiple perspectives such as System test, role-based security, technical environments, and performancePreparation/review of testing reportsProficiency at managing multiple efforts simultaneously, in an environment with ambiguityHigh degree of initiative and autonomy with the ability to function successfully as part of a teamMinimum Technical QualificationsMust have 10 years working in Information Technology which will include the following specific experience:At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years working as a Test Analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes, performing the following:
Assessment of analysis scope and tasksPlanning business analysis tasksElicitation, definitions and documentation of various business, user, and system requirementsLeading and working within cross-functional teams that include business subject matter experts, application architects, developers, and testersExperience preparing test plans, test cases and documenting test resultsExperience regression testing and adjusting test plans for periodic maintenance releases
At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years producing business analysis and testing deliverables such as:
Business requirements and business rulesFunctional requirements and/or functional specificationsNon-functional requirementsStakeholder requestsTest strategiesTest plansTest casesTransition plansTraceability matrices
At least three (3) years of experience using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Rational Requisite Pro, or Jama to document functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications, test cases and defects, and provide full traceability for projects.Experience as a Test Analyst at a State or Federal agency is required.A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related fields from an accredited or government-sanctioned college/university is required.Highly Preferred:Experience as a Test Analyst leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension/retirement-related software development projects. CalSTRS reserves the right to request a copy of the degree.Pension knowledge is a plus.Must be able to work onsite in Sacramento, CA M-F.W2 hourly DOE24-monthsOnsite required.Three References are required to be submitted to Client.
