This position is located in Converged Infrastructure (JNDI), Infrastructure Services (JND), Enterprise Technology Operations Services (JN), Information Technology (J), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
The purpose of this position is to serve as an IT specialist performing duties associated with Active Directory, Federation Services, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Group Policy, AGPM, ADCS (Certificate Services/PKI) and IPv6.
BASIC REQUIREMENT:Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience
for this position is defined as:Implementing testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Server operating systems (such as Windows Servers 2022), server hardware and software systems, including developing, implementing and maintaining baselines and Security Technical Implementation Guides;Acting as primary troubleshooter for IT incidents and outages involving Active Directory, Federation Services, DNS, PKI, DFS, and Azure/MSO, coordinating with other technicians using data driven strategies to reduce downtime and agency impact;Performing duties associated with Active Directory, Federation Services, domain name system (DNS), Group Policy, advanced group policy management (AGPM), active directory certificate services (ADCS), and internet protocol version 6 (IPv6).
'Experience' refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
