For the
GS-13 , you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-12
in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes:Evaluating, developing, and supporting IT solutions to assure IT provided desktops and laptops are adequately supporting employees efficiently.Using technical knowledge to assist staff in managing IT systems/applications.Monitoring management systems to proactively determine system(s) health in reducing system failures.Managing and monitoring device upgrades within determined schedule in addition to effectively performing remote customer support.In addition to the above specialized experience, your resume must demonstrate one year of Information Technology (IT) related experience in the federal service, private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies:Attention to Detail:
Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.Customer Service:
Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations.Oral Communication:
Expresses information effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.Problem Solving:
Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
