Contracts
As the Regional Contracts Manager – Global Aftermarket, you will be responsible for proposals and contracts execution for commercial business projects for global aftermarket sales including preparation of Estimate Requests, RFI and RFP proposal responses, work authorizations, customer correspondence, coordination with internal and external customers, contract negotiations/execution/and closeout. You will interface heavily with leaders in the commercial business organization and the Executive Leadership Team at Bell.
What You’ll be Doing as a Regional Contracts Manager
Coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with internal and external customers.
Review Statements of Work (SOWs) with the program team and prepare Estimate Requests (ERs) for estimating and pricing to develop proposals.
Coordinate proposal preparation, manage and prepare internal documentation for gate reviews and document management approvals for submission to the customer.
Develop proposal strategy to mitigate risk and review terms and conditions of contract documents for compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiations with commercial and/or international government customers ensuring customer needs are satisfied while meeting Bell’s business and financial objectives.
Perform contract administration from contract award to contract closeout, which may include: internal notification of contract award and coordination of requirements to functional departments to advise of obligations during performance, contract notifications to customer, identification and resolution of changes by application of knowledge of contract clauses and policies and procedures, monitor funding and expenditures, documentation of delivery/completion to the customer, and contract closeout.
Assess, maintain, and utilize Bell information management systems for reports, metrics, correspondence, files, presentations, analyses, and contract administration.
Manage special assignments and projects for Bell’s commercial business strategy and adapt and improve business processes to meet company goals and satisfy customer needs.
Coordinate with and influence personnel in multiple functions, Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), and Centers of Excellence (COEs) and at a variety of levels to ensure effective and efficient compliance with contractual and customer requirements.
Demonstrate exceptional customer relationship management skills and be primary liaison between external customer and Bell for all contractual matters.
Skills You Bring to This Role
Familiarity with commercial contracting processes.
Hands-on experience with group projects involving proposal preparation, direct customer interaction, compliance management, or negotiations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with international customers and representatives from other Bell departments.
Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize a variety of assignments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience presenting to executive-level management.
What You Need to be Successful
3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry with experience in contracts, finance, pricing, legal, business management, program management, procurement or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Experience with commercial contracts and agreements, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and international acquisition regulations and processes preferred.
Experience with Salesforce, Apptus (Conga), and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
