About this roleRole Description:

This individual will join the US Marketing and Distribution Compliance team to focus on the sales and marketing efforts of BlackRock's Equity Private Markets (EPM) and Capital Markets (BCM). This is a unique opportunity to assist BlackRock using asset management experience, product knowledge and knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, in particular FINRA Rule 2210 and the SEC rules (with emphasis on the Marketing Rule).Key Responsibilities:Provide advice as a subject matter expert on applicable rules, regulations and policies applicable to marketing and investor communicationsAnalyze rules and regulations, including regulatory developments, to assess the potential commercial impact on the businesses coveredReview and advise on marketing materials for BlackRock's Equity Private Markets (EPM) and Capital Markets (BCM) helping to assess regulatory and business riskPartner with Legal & Compliance colleagues globally, and business partners on the launch and development of new alternatives products and strategiesDevelop educational materials and deliver trainings for business partners with respect to marketing and fundraising regulations with a focus on alternatives funds and strategiesParticipate on working groups with internal stakeholders to support commercial initiativesWork closely with global colleagues to help develop and ensure consistency and operational efficiencies regarding procedures and processKnowledge/experience:6-8 years of legal and/or regulatory (compliance) experience in asset managementExperience with marketing and advertising regulations including the new SEC Marketing RuleBachelor's DegreeStrong knowledge of asset management businessStrong knowledge of alternatives products and strategies including (private equity and hedge funds)Strong analytical skills, and effective written and oral communication skillsHigh standard of accuracy and excellent attention to detailAbility to prioritize workloads, multi-task and adhere to deadlinesExcellent organizational and project management skillsCollaborative team player, ability to work on team projectsFor New York City only: The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $173,500.
