We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all staff members, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.The OpportunityWe are looking for an Associate Director of Operations who will be responsible for leading continuous improvement and efficiency across our back-end functions (distribution, transportation, supply chain, customer service, and factory/manufacturing) processes and systems for a growing omnichannel direct-to-consumer business (eCommerce and wholesale) and B2B business.What you will doSystems Management - Oversee implementation and optimization of Inventory Management / Order Management systems to ensure a smooth integration for accurate and timely data with minimal manual intervention.Downstream Logistics - Oversee and optimize all downstream shipping, receiving, storage, fulfillment, and return processing.Department Reporting - Develop and maintain a robust set of departmental dashboards, KPIs and reports to monitor and measure performance.Contract Management - Negotiate contracts and monitor the performance of our partners (3PL warehouses, outbound shipping solutions, return solutions, and systems vendors), and troubleshoot solutions.Team Leadership & Development - Mentor, coach, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, improvement, and professional growth.Cross-Functional Support - Clear communication across departments to ensure alignment between operations, accounting, marketing, and product.Sustainability Initiatives - Align operations with sustainability goals, focusing on reducing carbon footprint, waste, and inefficiencies in the supply chain.What You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain) or equivalent years of experience5+ years of experience in operations or supply chain related workPrevious experience with ERP, WMS, and e-commerce systemsWorking knowledge of warehousing operations, supply chain, production, and manufacturing processesStrong understanding of financial concepts related to project evaluation, financial forecasting, return on investment, etc.Proactive, ambitious and interested in educating and growing on the jobActs rapidly and efficiently - proven time managementExperience managing and leading a teamWho you are:You love solving operational problems and always look for ways to improve systems and processes.You lead by example, mentoring and coaching your team to encourage growth and create opportunities for their development.You can think and plan at a strategic level, and can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.Strong analytical thinker - proven ability to synthesize data into relevant, simple, and compelling recommendationsPeople are happy to communicate with you - your colleagues say your presentations help them understand the data, and your outside partners trust you.Experience working in a high-growth startup environment with shifting prioritiesJob detailsJob typeFull-timeCategoriesLogistics, Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager
