$70,000 - $110,000PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Edit and proofread estate planning and trust administration documents.Assist in drafting estate planning documents such as trusts, wills, assignments, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives.Draft and record real property transfer documents, including deeds, transfer tax affidavits, and preliminary change of ownership forms.Prepare trust administration documents, including checklists, certifications of trust, beneficiary releases, agreements, court petitions, probate documents, and asset inventories.File probate court documents and coordinate the service of process on involved parties.File federal tax forms, such as 709, 706, and 8971.Assist with valuations, EIN applications, and asset collection, valuation, and distribution for executors/trustees.Perform legal research and prepare memos and correspondence for clients and other professionals.Coordinate client estate planning signing appointments and maintain attorneys’ calendars.Prepare and finalize estate documents for signatures, including signing instruction memoranda.Assist in meetings and client calls as necessary.Provide notary services (helpful if you are a Public Notary).Coordinate with records and conflicts departments to open and close matters.Manage databases and document filing, both physical and electronic.Assemble estate planning and transaction binders for clients.Submit expense reimbursements and enter attorney time entries as needed.Proficiency with revocable and irrevocable estate planning documents such as trusts, wills, healthcare directives, powers of attorney, and assignments.Experience filing and recording real property transfer documents.Familiarity with court filings, e-filing, and service on parties.Strong skills in assembling and filing federal tax returns.Ability to manage and calendar deadlines, meetings, and calls for multiple attorneys.Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.REQUIREMENTS3-5 years of estate planning experience, with knowledge of California Probate & Trust law and federal tax procedures.Experience in real estate, corporate practice, or financial management can also be considered.About Lincoln Group:
