The Enrollment Support Specialist position is a hybrid role responsible for delivering a high-quality customer service experience to potential applicants, current applicants, and newly admitted students and their families. Additionally, 50% of the time will focus on reviewing and managing documents, data, test scores, and other sensitive information related to a student’s official enrollment records by utilizing the University’s student information systems (Slate, PeopleSoft/CaneLink, and OnBase).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

50%:

Serve as the primary contact via phone and email for student and parent questions and concerns related to student applications and records, and serve as the liaison for student records to other University departments.

Communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively with inbound callers successfully mitigating their requests/concerns while ensuring a positive customer service experience throughout the application process.

Monitor and respond to inbound queries from students, parents, and stakeholders about the status of current applications and required materials, and provide support to prospective families.

50%:

Review and update student record data. Run data validation reports in Slate and CaneLink and troubleshoot and update data as needed to ensure accuracy.

Ensure accuracy of data in the integration between Slate and CaneLink. Manage the CaneLink staging table daily, correct errors causing the data not to load, and work the search/match process to eliminate duplicate record creation.

Manage the consolidate record process in Slate daily, identifying and consolidating duplicate records for both applicants and inquiries.

Process change requests received from functional personnel.

Manage incoming documents for all students, checking for accuracy and ensuring documents are appropriately assigned to the student record. Ensure checklist items are updated accordingly.

Load test scores received from testing agencies - SAT, ACT, AP, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.

Review the CaneLink test score error log regularly and make necessary corrections in Slate.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent analytical ability and working knowledge of data analytical tools, such as spreadsheets and database structures.

Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to multi-task with consistently high accuracy.

Must be detail-oriented with the ability to concentrate on projects during numerous interruptions by telephone.

Education and Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):

High school diploma required. Post-secondary education preferred.

One (1) year of relevant work experience managing records, preferably in a higher education or corporate setting.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education and work experience will be considered.
