Head Start - Data Coordinator

Under the direction of the Head Start Director, the Data Coordinator is responsible for managing Head Start data collection systems. The Data Coordinator will work with the Head Start Leadership team to develop policies and procedures to ensure the proper collection of child and family data, provide oversight of all data collection systems used by the program, monitor users, and work with internal and external entities to troubleshoot and analyze problems/issues relating to system software. The Data Coordinator will also ensure all systems comply with legal, confidentiality, and Personal Identifying Information (PII) data requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinator is responsible for the annual setup and configuration of all databases (Child Plus, Learning Genie, DataSay, and others as identified by the organization).
Works with the data team to troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of Data Information system problems that support Head Start operations.
Responsible for the input of program data into the Office of Head Start Enterprise system including; Monthly Enrollment, facility information, and Program information report.
Responsible for the input of program data into the California Department of Education reporting system including: monthly attendance reports, quarterly child assessment data, and other annual required reports.
Supervises the data team to perform onsite, routine services as directed by the service provider, including follow-up on daily client issues and other support duties as defined by the service provider and approved by management.
EDUCATION:
BA Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
At least five years of related work experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five years' experience supporting Information Technology systems that employ Microsoft technology. Experience with hardware issues and setup is desired. Experience in oversight of data systems or computer data collections systems. Some experience supervising others, and experience with any Head Start data collection system is strongly desired.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid California driver's license, have use of a motor vehicle, and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance. Must meet State health requirements including passing a physical examination as a condition of employment and provide verification of a TB clearance at the time of employment. Mandatory CPR and Basic First Aid certificate, which the employee is responsible to maintain for the duration of their employment with Head Start.
Fingerprints must be on file with the Justice Department. Official transcripts of educational attainment are required
before
an interview is granted.
