Overview And Essential Job Functions
The Vice President of Operations will lead and oversee the payroll and billing departments. The VP of Operations will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of payroll and billing processes, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The VP of Operations will play a crucial role in the strategic planning, innovation and continuous improvement for Acumen’s growth and development.
Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage the payroll and billing teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvementStrategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans for payroll and billing operations to align with organizational goalsProcess Optimization:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in payroll and billing operationsCompliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and billing regulationsFinancial Oversight:
Oversee the preparation and management of payroll and billing budgets, forecasts, and financial reportsStakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of payroll and billing processesTechnology Integration:
Evaluate and implement payroll and billing software and systems to improve operational efficiencyReporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on payroll and billing activities to senior managementAudit and Reconciliation:
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll and billing records to ensure accuracy and compliancePerform all other job-related duties as assignedALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferredMinimum of 10 years of experience in payroll and billing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleStrong analytical skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and proficiency in payroll and billing softwareIn-depth knowledge of payroll and billing regulations and best practicesExceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex issuesAbility to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to improve processes
