Location: Glendale, COFacility: National Jewish Health - Galleria Office TowersDepartment: Health InitiativesSchedule - Shift - Hours: Full Time - Day ShiftPosition SummaryThe Associate Executive Director provides leadership and day-to-day management for finance, contracts, account management, and business development in accordance with the department’s business plans, contractual obligations, and legal requirements. The Associate Executive Director is responsible for department finances including budget development, monitoring, reporting, and management. Directs creation, negotiation, and maintenance of business contracts. Identifies and implements short and long-term strategies for building client relationships, generating new business, and driving revenue growth. The Associate Director participates as a member of the Department’s Leadership Team and assumes responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Executive Director.Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance, and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.Directs department budget development, forecasting, and management. Responsible for financial analysis and reporting and advising the department on solid financial decision-making to optimize revenue and minimize expense.Actively participates in the introduction of new products and programs providing Return on Investment (ROI) analysis and financial modeling to evaluate new product offerings.Directs development, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations. Ensures contract compliance.Directs RFPs and renewals responses for existing and potential clients. Facilitates business development and strategy. Analyzes potential growth projections and financial impact. Prepares technical and cost proposals.Directs and oversees account management function. Works with the team to identify and implement short and long-term strategies for building client relationships, generating new business, and driving revenue growth.Establishes and maintains professional relations with other key external partners, including business partners and vendors.Ensures vendor contracts are in place with competitive pricing and accurate billing.Serves as a main point of contact with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Legal, IST, Compliance, Finance, and Grants.Accountability:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in business administration, management, finance, or a related discipline preferred.Work Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of business experience. Finance and contract experience required. Experience managing a multi-line, multi-million dollar revenue business and health care experience preferred.Special Training, Certification or Licensure:

Experience managing large projects.Highly strategic with strong leadership skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships.Willing to work hard individually and as part of a team.Excellent writing and communication skills.Well-rounded business experience (small org or different experiences).Experience with new business development.Experience generating and optimizing revenue and minimizing costs.Business acumen, drive for results, champion of change, data-driven, critical thinking, personnel management, idea generator.Salary Range:
