Principal Product Management Manager
to join our US Government and Sovereign Engineering Delivery team to leverage customer feedback on product gaps and other demand signals to align company-wide engineering delivery to better serve this critical market. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys creating clarity from the ambiguous and helping others navigate through a fast-paced and ever-evolving engineering landscape. Candidates should be interested and capable of working closely with external customers as well as internal engineering teams across the company. This role will be responsible for leading a cross-functional group of Product Managers, identifying and/or responding to specific requests that address unmet needs across our US Government and Sovereign-based customers. The individual must actively seek information and test assumptions, navigate within a highly matrixed environment, determine measures of success for operations, and lead others in scoping problems by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders, and outcomes.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Develop team culture, grounding in Microsoft’s mission and values, seeking to attract, develop, and retain employees while making positive improvements towards our diversity and inclusion goals.Drive and coach teams to define business impact across the organization and track success for multiple program areas across divisions.Tenaciously pursue outcomes while influencing senior executives with comprehensive analysis of options to consider.Communicate to drive clarity via excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Provide strategic insights and leadership to help teams scale to meet the evolving demands of our US Government and Sovereign Cloud businesses, and ensure teams engage partners to garner support for those program areas.Develop and manage various cross-Microsoft v-teams to deliver customer-segment specific solutions.Provide leadership and set strategy for response to relevant customer feedback from this customer segment.Work independently to drive large, complex programs and solutions.Drive results across multiple organizations via strong cross-group collaboration skills.Drive business & technical conversations with development managers, partners, and customers.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development4+ years people management experience.Other Requirements:Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.Clearance Verification:
