Our Merchandising Analytics team is dedicated to supporting our merchandising teams by providing robust data insights and analytics to optimize product selection, inventory management, and overall merchandising strategy.Role OverviewAs the Manager, Merchandising Analytics, you will lead a team of talented analysts to develop and implement strategies that enhance our merchandising capabilities. This role is critical in fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the merchandising organization by ensuring that the team has the tools, support, and best practices needed to deliver impactful insights. You will partner closely with merchandising leaders to drive initiatives that optimize product assortment, pricing, and inventory management, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and business performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of analysts within the Merchandising Analytics team.Develop and implement best practices for merchandising analytics, ensuring scalability and high performance.Partner with merchandising leaders to ideate, define, test, and scale initiatives focused on optimizing product selection and inventory management.Present data insights through storytelling to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise.Support various insights, testing, reporting, and optimization across the merchandising lifecycle (assortment planning, pricing, inventory, and promotions).Manage and balance projects to maximize the value of analytics work to the business.Define success metrics and develop measurement frameworks with key stakeholders.Implement experimental design and test/learn frameworks to validate merchandising strategies.Compile, cleanse, and analyze data to drive actionable outcomes in support of merchandising objectives.Apply advanced analytical and statistical practices to create actionable insights.Deliver high-quality solutions and recommendations through collaboration with team members and business partners.QualificationsExperience:

7+ years of relevant work experience in merchandising analytics or a related field.At least 5 years of experience managing teams.Proven track record of delivering well-designed analytics systems built for scale and performance.

Education:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills:

Strong coding skills in languages such as R or Python.Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau, or Looker.Experience with Cloud technologies, such as GCP, is a plus.Proficiency in extracting data using SQL from relational databases (Big Query, Amazon Redshift, Oracle, Teradata preferred).

Best Practices & Agile Development:

Strong understanding of BI best practices, alerting, monitoring, A/B testing, and production support.Experience with agile methodologies, such as SCRUM or Kanban.

Leadership Skills:

Proven leadership and management skills with a track record of building effective and self-directed teams.Strong critical thinking and storytelling skills.Ability to think strategically and expand understanding of business domains.

Pay ranges may be different in other locations.Washington: $141,000 - $258,000 Annually. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
