Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Supply Chain and Inventory Insights to be part of a team responsible for data ingestion, orchestration, service, governance and activation of data across operational and analytical use-cases. This role will support the Transportation domain. This team directly works with key business stakeholders to deliver strategic ELG (executive leadership group) initiatives for the company.As a Data Product Manager, you will directly engage with various cross-functional product and business stakeholders, data-engineering, and data-science teams. You will support both professional data service needs on a day-to-day basis and formulate these requirements into a core data platform roadmap that accelerates data ingestion-through-activation, data sharing, decision automation and self-service capabilities / data democratization capabilities.Data is the core asset of any company today. As a Data Product Manager, success in this role will be determined by how quickly you are able to unlock the ability for the company to scale up data-driven decisions across all levels of the company with low latency, high integrity and with minimal size constraints.We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in driving data product solutions from inception to implementation with varying levels of complexity, especially across broad cross-functional teams.The Senior Product Manager is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs, and delivering key features, functionality, and programs for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish this, Product Managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.What You'll Do:The senior data product manager responsible for managing the identification, prioritization, development, and delivery of data-driven products within a company.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to define and execute the product roadmap, ensure the product meets customer needs, and achieve business objectives.Provide our partners with data monitoring and analytical solutions; helping to ensure businesses can reach their growth goals.Produce data products that support our internal operations team by deeply understanding our core business, analytics requests, and decision-making needs.Align interaction and vision to ensure that products conform to specific types of user experiences across customer personas across different stages of the data lifecycle & levels of maturity.Deliver data pipelines leveraging data from multiple sources, transform it into analytics-ready data, and make it available to data consumers for analytics and decision-making.Identify need for data repositories, such as relational and non-relational databases, data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, and big data stores process and store this data for your functional stakeholders.Account for performance monitoring and fine-tuning to ensure systems are performing at optimal levels.Lead business requirements gathering, analyze and map underlying processes, application, and data flows to guide opportunity/risk identification and scoping.Evaluate competitor experiences.Write logical and thoughtful product requirements documents.Define, measure, and monitor KPIs, objectives and key results (“OKRs”).Create and maintain best practices playbook for metrics improvements.Work with engineering during feature development to ensure feature objectives are maintained.What You'll Need:5+ years of experience in large scale data management from streaming event-driven or batch data acquisition, ingestion, data modeling, governance, cataloging, leveling and orchestration to serve a variety of business and application centric use-cases.2+ years of direct product ownership of large-scale data products for operational workflow and/or analytical use-cases.Strong foundational knowledge of data engineering – including data warehousing, managing and analyzing data, SQL, critical thinking, and basic understanding of Machine Learning.Strong interest in the e-commerce and big data industries; strong data analysis and mining skills and keen data insight.Proficient in product flow chart drawing, product requirement document (PRD) and technical function description document writing.Proficient in SQL language, able to find problems and solve problems through data.Strong understanding of how to translate data into insights that enable business to make decisions and take actions.Built and maintained interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.Project management experience, strong execution, and able to efficiently promote product improvement and project launch.Excellent team cooperation, communication, and coordination ability.Extensive experience in (co-)defining strategy, roadmap, and execution of Big Data assets in your company’s data infrastructure.
