US Equity Options Sales Trader (Director) - 2403500Job SummaryThe Equity Options Sales Trader will cover UK and European based clients who trade in the US listed equity and ETF options space. They should have existing relationships in one or both of those regions. Under limited direction, with a high level of autonomy, uses knowledge and skills to provide portfolio management, trading ideas and high touch coverage to institutional customers. Coordinates and communicates with the Equity Research Analysts and Institutional Salespersons to facilitate information and ideas to clients.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops relationships with institutional clients and fellow internal professionals to facilitate idea generation.Captures market share by obtaining buy/sell option orders with customer base.Disseminates information to the sales and trading teams on a timely basis.Leads the work of others and provides ideas and help to enhance client relationships.Stays abreast of financial news/issues that may affect stock and bond prices.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of
Trading strategies and market characteristics within the derivatives market.Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of institutional equity sales & sales trading.Financial markets, products, and electronic networks.Company’s working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.UK/European Regulations, particularly as pertaining to derivatives.Skill inHigh level customer service.Marketing skills and sales ability.Using technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal and sales skills to obtain customers’ commitment to ideas, services, or products.Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications and proficiency with Bloomberg, Reuters and Microsoft Excel.Ability toManage a range of clients such as pension funds, hedge funds and asset managers in the UK, operating in a complex, cross-border environment.Navigate market-specific strategies with a high level of familiarity with international indices, as well as understanding client needs in multiple regions.Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.Possess a high energy level.Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing both internally and externally.Navigate cross time-zone time management, as well as coordination across desks, especially on large trades or complex derivatives products.Educational/Previous Experience RequirementsEducation/Previous Experience
