On behalf of our client, Integrated Fabrication & Machine, Inc., Decision Associates is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations. Established in 1979, JEB Fabricating began as a simple fabrication company that moved to a new location in 1981 and was eventually purchased in early 2000 by current owners Brent and Diane Ward. The company has evolved into a state-of-the art fabrication shop with a strong customer base in the Electrical Distribution Market and significant growth potential.The Vice President of Operations is responsible for providing the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls, reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for coordination of production and safety functions including day-to-day operations; personnel and equipment planning; plant safety training sessions; employee development and cross-training; and coordination of activities with other departments.Key Responsibilities:Implement growth strategies in collaboration with the management team to support rapid organizational growth from job shop to production facility.Support change management efforts as company undergoes significant growth.Manage plant operations and production personnel, prioritizing safety, quality, productivity, and cost.Coordinate with shipping and engineering managers to achieve timely and cost-effective manufacturing objectives.Oversee the implementation of a new scheduling system and track all jobs on the shop floor.Manage capital and operating expenditures, as well as manpower and wage budgets.Establish and monitor production and quality performance standards for the plant.Control labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses while ensuring facility maintenance.Ensure shop floor organization and cleanliness, adhering to established procedures.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline preferred; master’s degree is a plus.8-10 years of leadership experience in a job shop environment.Experience transitioning a company from solely a job shop environment to a job shop with production capability for a limited number of products.Technical experience in Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing methodologies.Ability to effectively communicate with production team members at all levels.Strong communication skills for professional interaction with both internal and external customers.Analytical skills to prioritize efforts using Root Cause Analysis and other analytical tools.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel capabilities.Knowledge of welding standards, specifically AWS D1.1.Ability to read and interpret engineered production drawings.Medical, dental and vision insuranceLong-term disabilityHealth Savings Account401(k)Life insurancePaid time offIntegrated Fabrication & Machine, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
