As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.Facilitate and implement core programs as delegated by Mercy’s family model and Hope SF priorities. Collect and record data to measure program outcomes. Identify resident and community needs and assets. Develop strategies to link residents to needed services and support residents and community members with assistance if they have barriers that might impede access to services and supports. Build community partnerships that bring services, programs, events, and resources to Mercy Housing Properties, The Hub (community center), and the Mercy Neighborhood Resources Center. Actively partner with Mercy staff, community partners, and city agencies to support resident stability and empowerment and strengthen community building and cohesion.Assist with the operation, planning, and implementation of events and programs at The Hub (community center) collaboratively with the Associate Director of the Community Center and the Resident Service Manager. Work with other tenant staff, community partners, and volunteers. Support and monitor program outcomes.We encourage individuals with lived experience to apply. This is an on-site position.Pay:

$23.69-29.00/hour DOE15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays.Early close Fridays - 3 paid hours off early each Friday.Health, dental (adult and child orthodontia included), vision, and pet insurance.Employer-paid life insurance.403b + match, paid volunteer time, and more.Duties:Implement priority programs and essential activities as outlined in the Resident Services program model at the Mercy residential buildings, The Hub (Mercy Community Center), and Mercy Neighborhood Resource Center.Collect required data for designated program components and record data in the Mercy Housing database and in GMS (City of San Francisco’s data management system) in an accurate and timely way. Maintain all reporting requirements set by funding and/or government agencies.Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents and neighborhood assets and needs (conduct needs assessments, community meetings, etc.) to offer residents the opportunity to assist their community and to guide them towards appropriate services and resources.Develop a deep knowledge of city-wide resources and maintain a comprehensive list of resources (employment, education, social service agencies, etc.) available in the community for residents’ benefit.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.One (1) Year of experience in community development, social services, or related field.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.Experience conducting community assessments, applying the principles of conflict management, and organizing community groups, events, or programs.Bilingual is preferred (Samoan, Chinese, Spanish).Knowledge and Skills:Work collaboratively with others in a team environment, respecting and valuing the perspectives and contributions of others.Demonstrate a high level of verbal, writing, and listening skills.Proficient with MS Office (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).Maintain confidentiality and obtain appropriate release of information as necessary.Able to work with people with mental health, disability, substance abuse, legal, and financial issues.*This is a brief summary of the position and responsibilities.Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
