The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant experience and a proven ability to manage development applications from inception through to completion. This role requires expertise in municipal land use law and experience representing developers before planning and zoning boards.DutiesManage development applications, ensuring compliance from initiation to completion.Represent clients, particularly developers, before planning boards and zoning boards.Address resolution compliance and any post-approval issues that may arise.Negotiate redevelopment agreements and navigate the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law.Provide legal guidance on municipal land use matters, advising clients on applicable regulations and policies.RequirementsA minimum of 5 years of experience in redevelopment, land use, and zoning law.First chair experience representing developers in administrative proceedings.Strong understanding of Municipal Land Use Law and related legal frameworks.New Jersey Bar admission is mandatory; experience and bar admission in New York or other jurisdictions is a plus.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive membership in the New Jersey Bar; additional bar admissions are beneficial.SkillsExcellent negotiation and communication skills.Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.Capability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.Proficiency in navigating complex regulatory environments.This position provides a unique opportunity to further your career in a supportive setting while making a significant impact in the field of redevelopment, land use, and zoning law.
