Position: Statewide Transportation Leader

Location:

Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, or Austin, Texas

Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Statewide Transportation Leader to manage the design of multiple public and private transportation projects and drive business development efforts in the Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin or Houston area. The successful candidate will be part of a leading full-service design firm that provides innovative planning, engineering, architectural, and interior design, as well as construction and program management services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage TXDOT highway and roadway projects in the greater DFW Metroplex or greater Houston areas.

Conduct business development activities for transportation projects and cultivate strong client relationships.

Interface with municipal clients, including cities, utility districts, and selected state agencies.

Lead and participate in meetings with TxDOT, Toll Road Authorities, cities, and counties to explore business development opportunities.

Oversee the design and execution of transportation projects, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.

Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and monitor project progress against these benchmarks.

Manage and mentor the design team, ensuring performance excellence on assigned projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.

Minimum of 10 years of transportation engineering experience, particularly on TXDOT-related projects throughout Central Texas.

Solid roadway design experience with a proven track record of pursuing and securing TxDOT work as a Project Manager.

TXDOT certifications are essential.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation.

Successful business development experience and a strong understanding of the transportation market.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
